Simply Authentic
Riad Tazzori is the home of Wendy Cushing, the designer and owner of Wendy Cushing Passementerie, and maker of the finest tassels and trimmings. Surrounded by the rich culture and history of Marrakech, Riad Tazzori is a peaceful sanctuary embellished with Berber adornments and traditional Moroccan crafts, the idyllic setting for contemplation and inspiration, attracting creative individuals from around the world, including writers, artists, and designers.
Dreams Become Reality
It has always been Wendy’s ambition since first visiting Marrakech to have her own Riad one day and to go back to her hand-weaving days in such a creative city. The opportunity arrived ten years ago with her Moroccan family to be able to make that dream come true with the purchase of an old tumbledown property. The building was demolished and rebuilt into a very different home to her design and specification. The new home is built with traditional Berber inspiration combined with Wendy’s own textile collection. The interior style is simple and reflects the spirit of the Moroccan people with Berber textiles, furniture, and decorative artefacts along with her own Berber-inspired trimmings.
